NFL Issues Message About Travis Kelce’s Playoff Career

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to continue their dynasty in Super Bowl LIX, when they face the Philadelphia Eagles for the Lombardi Trophy.

Kansas City defeated the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills en route to the Super Bowl after entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 15-2 record.

The Chiefs are led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, two offensive weapons who have terrorized the NFL for nearly a decade. Ahead of the Super Bowl LIX matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles, the NFL posted Kelce’s career playoff stats, while commenting on the tight end’s talent.

“Travis Kelce is pretty good at this NFL playoffs thing,” posted the NFL. Kelce has the most receptions of any TE in NFL playoff history (174), the second-most receiving yards (2,039) and the second-most receiving touchdowns (20)

Legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice leads the league with 2,245 receiving yards and 22 receiving touchdowns during his postseason career.

 

 

Rice is widely regarded as the best wide receiver in NFL history, competing for the San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos from 1985 to 2005. In the Chiefs’ latest 31-28 victory over the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, Kelce posted two receptions for 19 yards.

Before the conference title matchup, Kelce led the Chiefs’ offense, recording one touchdown and 117 yards on seven receptions in a 23-14 win over the Texans.
