Swift arrived in a glittering Kansas City Chiefs red minidress at the music ceremony. Hanging off her thigh was a “T” charm for both their names.
Kelce was unable to attend the ceremony, as he just arrived in New Orleans for the Super Bowl next week with his team. This evening, the star is up for Record of the Year (“Fortnight” with Post Malone), Album of the Year (The Tortured Poets Department), Song of the Year (“Fortnight” with Jack Antonoff and Post Malone).
Others include Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Gracie Abrams’s “Us”), Best Pop Vocal Album (The Tortured Poets Department), and Best Music Video (“Fortnight”).
At last year’s Grammys, Swift announced The Tortured Poets Department during her first acceptance speech. “Hey, this is my 13th grammy,” she started.
“My lucky number. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that. I wanna say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans.
So I wanna say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th.
It’s called The Tortured Poets Department, and I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you. I love you. Thank you.” Now, the album could earn Swift more trophies…and another opportunity to announce a new project. Time will tell if Swift has news to share.
